About Me... And You.

Hello Everyone!

So what's my story? Well, that's me on the right with my lovely family which includes my wife Katrina, my littlest Gwen, my oldest Eva, and our furriest Auggie. We found our house in St. Charles, Minnesota back in 2011 and quickly created a home.  At the time, I had no idea I was going to be starting my own business, let alone open my own studio on Whitewater Ave., but life just keeps you guessing.

Fresh out of college a lot of people recognized me from my days of reporting for the NBC Affiliate (KTTC) in Rochester, Minnesota.  I spent three years in the business before finding out that my wife and I were going to become parents.  This was obviously a game-changer.  I couldn't support our family as ,many know, daycare isn't cheap so I was forced to find a new path.  It turned out I just needed to get behind the camera instead of in front of it.

When searching for a photographer you're searching for a personality.  Understandably, the price of the session or photo package plays a key role in it too, but ultimately, you want to know if everything will go as planned when the moment occurs.

That's where I come in.

If there is one thing I've learned from being a photojournalist it's how to get the job done no matter the obstacles.  Also, how to turn on a dime to adapt to unforeseen situations.

Photography is a medium I've always enjoyed, even in the college classroom.  Now, instead of reporting on the state legislature, car crashes, or what the best food at the fair is (love that one), I get to transfer those same skills into capturing your memories.

My mindset for every shoot is "if it's important to you, it's important to me."

I look forward to meeting you and seeing what ideas I can make reality.
